JUSTICE REQUIRES AYURVEDIC PARENTS TO VACCINATE BABY

PARENTS WHO PRACTICE HOLISTIC DISCIPLINE
REFUSE TO APPLY THEIR BABY THE VACCINE DOSES

LA PLATA - In an unprecedented decision, the Supreme Court of Province of Buenos Aires orders a couple from Mar del Plata to get vaccinated their baby, as they refuse to apply the vaccine doses because they practice a holistic medicine system called Ayurveda and it does not accept the vaccinations established by conventional medicine. The court ruled the force vaccination of the child, by ordering the parents - within two days - to get vaccinated their child with all the mandatory doses according to the National Vaccination Plan, or the police will force them to do so.
The couple had a baby at home six months ago, and when they came to the hospital to document the child, they were informed to get their child vaccinated. They refused to do it by claiming they follow Ayurveda’s practices and have chosen to immunize their child by “nutritional guidelines, and preventive health that exclude intrusive practices”.
The couple explains that Ayurveda is a system of alternative medicine that was originated in India at least 5,000 years ago. This natural medicine consists of special diets and herbal remedies.

Ayurveda emphasizes the use of body, mind and spirit for the prevention and treatment of diseases and by achieving a natural balance, the body can heal itself, they said. All of this did not convince the doctors who quickly reported to Child Protection Services. They went before a Family Court and then the Provincial Court, asking for a special appeal to vaccinate the baby.

The Supreme Court rejected the parents’ arguments and ordered them to vaccinate their child within two days. The Court based its ruling on the obligation by law to supply all the inhabitants of the country, the vaccines provided by the national health authority.

Despite the administration of a vaccine is minimally invasive and it is associated with societal benefits, in many countries a lot of parents decide not to vaccinate their children. Constantly their objections are reinforced by factual information about risks and benefits. Other parents are philosophically opposed to vaccination, therefore compulsory vaccination should not be an option. As regards Ayurveda, this sacred medicine is the source of all healing, giving birth to Tibetan, Chinese, Greek and Arabic medical systems. It is an effective health care system preferentially utilized today by billions of people in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other Asian countries. The World Health Organization has endorsed Ayurveda as a viable and cost-effective alternative for the developing world.

WHAT DO THE VEDIC TEACHINGS TELL US?
The word “Àyurveda” is made up of two Sanskrit words, àyu which means “life” and veda means “knowledge”. Thus Àyurveda means the “science of life”. The Àyurvedic scholar Caraka explains that àyu has four essential parts: mind, body, senses (mind is the sixth sense) and the soul. Àyurveda is described in the Rgveda and many herbal medicines used in Àyurveda are described in the Atharvaveda. ... The Àyurvedic system of treatment has been in practice in India for thousands of years and today it is being continued throughout India along with allopathic medicine. There are many colleges and universities of Ayurvedic studies in India. Ayurvedic medicines are all made of natural herbs and natural products, and contrary to allopathic medicine they have no side effects. Deepak Chopra has nicely exposed some aspects of Ayurvedic medicine to the Western world. It is now becoming popular in the USA, Europe and many other countries. Although it is new to the Western world it promises to be an important alternative healthcare system for the treatment of diseases.
